I've been meditating (more or less!) daily for almost a decade. It's not always easy to be consistent with practice, but the reason I keep showing up is because I can confidently, & consistently, observe the positive changes it has on my life. It's been nothing short of life changing. The same goes for my yoga practice.
My abstract photography is an extension of my spiritual practice. Inspired by Beauty, light, & philosophical concepts like Plato’s Theory of Forms, I use my camera to capture the ethereal in the everyday. My work explores themes of transcendence, Presence, embodiment, & the relationship between the seen & the unseen.
I'm passionate about life, an optimist at heart, & happily married to the wonderful Edward Chilvers. We're based in Reading, UK, where we run live art & music events.
I have a Masters Degree in Art (2017) from the University of Leeds. I'm a 500hrs RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) in Vinyasa, Yin & Ashtanga Yoga (2018). I am a fully qualified coach with the ICF (International Coaching Federation) & the Clique & have been practicing since 2020. I taught at a yoga school in South Goa for 2 years, taught daily meditation online for 2 years during lockdown. And, I'm trained in Somatic Experiencing (2022)--a therapy that helps release stress, trauma, & emotions by focusing on physical sensations.
